Class 3 (Years 5 and 6) have produced some fantastic work this half term as they’ve journeyed through their Frozen Kingdoms topic. Their classroom has been transformed into an icy world of exploration, with pupils investigating everything from polar landscapes and extreme weather to the incredible animals that survive in such harsh environments. Alongside their geographical learning, they’ve been experimenting with different art techniques, taking inspiration from Inuit styles to create bold, colourful designs that celebrate the beauty and power of Arctic wildlife.
Their written work has been just as impressive, with pupils crafting atmospheric poems, vivid descriptions and thoughtful reflections on life in the polar regions. They’ve combined research with creativity, using maps, globes and non‑fiction texts to deepen their understanding before expressing their ideas through art, poetry and display work.
