As part of our 150th anniversary celebrations, Class 2 have been exploring the fascinating world of Victorian botanical art. Inspired by the detailed plant studies that were popular during the Victorian era, the children carefully observed and painted leaves, flowers and ferns, creating a stunning collection of artwork. Through this topic, pupils have learned how art and science worked hand in hand, helping people to study and identify plants long before photography became widely available. We are incredibly proud of the care, creativity and attention to detail shown in these beautiful pieces, which provide a wonderful link between our school's rich history and the learning taking place today.
