Continuing our 150th anniversary celebrations, Class 2 have been looking back at the history of Dhoon School and bringing the past to life through art. Inspired by the style of L. S. Lowry, the children created this wonderful representation of the original Dhoon School building as it would have appeared when it first opened in 1876. The artwork features a bustling Victorian scene, complete with carefully designed characters and detailed architectural features. Through this project, pupils explored both local history and artistic techniques, developing a deeper appreciation of the school's heritage while showcasing their creativity and imagination. We are love this striking display and the thoughtful way it celebrates 150 years of learning at Dhoon School.
