Class 3 have produced some truly stunning artwork inspired by the work of Julia Ashby Smyth, combining expressive painting, bold silhouettes and Manx language in a really striking way. The children explored colour, movement and pattern in their backgrounds before adding dramatic animal silhouettes that stand out beautifully against the swirling textures. They also included the Manx names, helping to celebrate our island’s rich language and culture through art. The finished pieces show fantastic creativity, thoughtful design choices and a strong sense of pride in their work, making this a wonderful cross-curricular project linking art, language and local heritage.
